The oft-cited beauty, Cleopatra, so greatly valued the youth-bestowing qualities of the Dead Sea – its mud, salt and water – that she purportedly urged her lover, Mark Antony, to conquer the region so that she might have an unlimited supply.
A much easier solution would be to simply indulge in a relaxing visit to our Body Boma! And if Cleopatra had lived today she’d have been able to choose from one of several Dead Sea treatments!
This month we focus on “Back to Nature Earth”
In this treatment we look at two often-neglected areas of the body – one’s feet and back. The ritual kicks off with an invigorating Dead Sea salt foot scrub and mask, in preparation for some relaxing reflexology. While your feet are being nourished, your back is treated to a lymph-stimulating brush, followed by a salt polishing and an application of warm Dead Sea mud.
The naturally invigorating salts found in the Dead Sea are rich in healthy minerals, which work deeply to soothe and relax tired muscles, restart the skin’s metabolism and promote a smooth and healthy epidermis. The unique black mineral mud yields extraordinary amounts of magnesium, calcium, potassium, strontium, boron, and iron – essential to maintaining healthy, supple skin, as well as having anti-inflammatory benefits, which enhance relaxation.
After the mud application, your back is wrapped to maintain an anaerobic state. It is now time to enjoy your soothing reflexology massage. In this part of the treatment pressure is applied to the feet utilising specific thumb, finger and hand techniques. Reflexology has been found to relieve tension, improve circulation and help promote the natural functions of the body.
Following this element of the treatment, the back-wrap is removed and you are given a mildly invigorating, Vetiver and Black Pepper back massage. A final gentle neck-stretch and hand massage complete your treatment.
Utterly delightful!
